Coaching Overview

Referees can benefit greatly from coaching in any form. Peer coaching is essential and a wondeful way to build community. Formal coaching provides those benefits but with a host of other insights. In Iowa, we’re trying to connect coaches with referees for live coaching much more so than in the past.

Peer Coaching in Iowa

By far the most prevalent form of coaching that referees get in Iowa is in the form of Peer Coaching. This happens mainly in our high school seasons, as many referees are at one physical location together.
